The Role
You will join our international Legal team as a trusted business partner to our commercial teams worldwide. You will help enable growth while protecting CM.com's interests in a fast-paced, international and regulated environment. Your advice is practical, proportionate and focused on helping the business make well-informed decisions.
In this role, you will take ownership of a broad range of commercial and technology matters. You will advise on the legal framework for our SaaS, CPaaS, payments and AI products, working with customers and suppliers across the world. Alongside commercial contracting, you will contribute to privacy & data protection, regulatory and corporate legal topics, developing expertise in an area that fits your experience and interests.
From digital conversations to customer data and payments, CM.com's products operate at the intersection of technology, regulation and commerce. As a listed company, we hold ourselves to high standards of governance and compliance. Together with colleagues across Legal and the business, you will manage legal risk without losing sight of commercial opportunity.
You will
Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, technology, data-processing and partnership agreements, structuring practical solutions that enable deals and protect CM.com
Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to Sales, Procurement, Product and other stakeholders on commercial, regulatory and data-protection matters
Advise on privacy and data protection issues, including GDPR, in relation to our products, customer contracts and day-to-day operations
Develop and improve contract standards, playbooks and scalable legal processes that support an efficient global commercial organisation
Support tenders, strategic negotiations and cross-functional projects, working closely with management, our international offices and specialist advisers where needed
Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to CM.com, including digital, telecommunications, payments, data and AI regulation, and translate them into practical business guidance
Support the management and protection of CM.com's intellectual property and trade mark portfolio across the markets in which we operate
Use AI tools actively to improve your own work, experiment with new approaches and share what works with the team
Job requirements
A completed Master's degree in Law and at least three years of relevant legal experience, gained in-house, at a law firm or in another commercial environment
Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English, ideally in a technology, SaaS or otherwise regulated environment
Sound, hands-on knowledge of privacy and data protection law, including GDPR; experience with telecommunications, payments, consumer or AI regulation is an advantage
A pragmatic and business-minded approach: you translate complex legal questions into concise, workable advice and build trusted relationships with non-legal stakeholders
Strong ownership and sound judgement, with the confidence to manage priorities in a fast-moving international environment
Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, and genuinely curious about technology and AI; you actively explore how AI tools can improve the quality and efficiency of your work
